Who we are
The Animal Nutrition Association of Canada (ANAC) is the national Trade Association representing approximately 90% of animal nutrition products commercially manufactured in Canada. Western Feed Industry Association a Division of ANAC , (WFIA-ANAC) represents 66 Regular members, and 18 Associate members in the provinces of Alberta and Saskatchewan. The value of annual feed production exceeds $900 million. Our association is directly affiliated with the Animal Nutrition Association of Canada, whose mandate is to help our members produce safe feed products in a sustainable business environment. Our members include feed manufacturers and distributors, as well as suppliers of goods and services such as feed ingredients, nutritional additives, animal nutrition products, equipment, packaging and testing services.
Much of the value that ANAC delivers to members is derived from feed industry focussed information and events. ANAC acts as the voice of the industry with government policy makers and regulators, working to foster a favorable regulatory and business environment in the context of the highest standards of feed and food safety.
